Personal tooling · Read-only access
A daily view of website performance.
Site Portfolio Monitor helps its owner review search visibility, visitor activity, and technical health across websites they manage.
Operated by Guang Wu for personal use. Collection runs on the owner's computer, where reports are stored. This website explains the tool and its data practices.
What the tool does
- Reads Google Search Console reports for search queries, pages, impressions, clicks, and indexing information.
- Reads Google Analytics reports for page activity, sessions, engagement, events, and traffic attribution.
- Checks public pages for HTTP responses, canonical URLs, indexing directives, and expected content.
- Produces dated reports for the owner to review, with collection failures and older data clearly identified.
Google access
The owner authorizes a desktop client to read properties accessible to their Google account. The requested permissions are webmasters.readonly and analytics.readonly.
Google authorization takes place through a local setup flow. The owner can revoke access in their Google Account settings.
How reports are handled
Exports and reports are stored in the owner's local workspace. The owner uses Codex and configured automation services to inspect results and prepare summaries. Relevant report data may be processed by those services as part of that workflow.
