Data practices
Privacy policy
Guang Wu operates Site Portfolio Monitor as a personal tool for monitoring websites they manage. This policy covers the local monitoring workflow and this public information website.
Data accessed
With the owner's authorization, the tool reads Google Search Console data including queries, page URLs, countries, devices, impressions, clicks, search positions, and URL indexing information. It reads Google Analytics report data including page paths, dates, sessions, engagement, page views, event counts, and traffic source, medium, campaign, and content dimensions.
OAuth client credentials and refresh credentials are stored in the owner's local credential configuration. Access tokens are used to authenticate requests to Google APIs. The desktop client requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly.
Purpose and processing
Google report data is used to collect performance metrics, compare reporting periods, diagnose collection issues, and produce reports for the owner. Public website responses and local build files are also inspected for technical checks.
The owner uses OpenAI Codex and configured automation services to run monitoring and review reports. Relevant metrics, report excerpts, and diagnostic information may be processed by those services when the owner requests or schedules that work. Their processing is governed by the owner's account settings and the applicable provider terms.
Site Portfolio Monitor uses Google data only for the owner's requested monitoring and reporting. It does not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. Credentials are excluded from public pages and report summaries.
Storage and retention
Raw exports, timestamped reports, and diagnostic records are stored in the owner's local workspace. The current retention settings flag raw exports after 30 days and monitoring summaries after 365 days for review, with selected monthly raw snapshots retained. Deletion requires an owner-approved action, so records may remain beyond those periods.
Automation providers may retain conversation content and processing records under their applicable terms and the owner's settings. Local credential files and monitoring data are kept separate from the public website files.
Control and deletion
The owner can stop scheduled collection, revoke Google access, and delete local credentials or stored reports. Revoking access stops future authorized collection after existing access tokens expire or are rejected. Previously collected reports remain until deleted.
Google connections can be reviewed in Google Account connections. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to wuguang512@gmail.com.
